On behalf of the family of the late Margaret Gillespie I would like to thank John, Julie and all their staff for the support they gave to us after the passing of our Aunty. Aunty Margaret died in North Tees Hospital and she was buried in Kilcar, Co. Donegal, Fire.
John and Julie organised and advised us on the funeral arrangements here with thoughtfulness and compassion.
We were kept informed of Aunty Margaret's repatriation throughout on her journey back to Ireland. For all of this we are truly grateful.

3 years ago Delanoys provided their service for my mothers funeral and back then their service was excellent, both John and Julie provided a beautiful send off for her.
On the 14th November this year we said our goodbyes to my father and John and Julie were there to give a personal send off.
From the moment we set off it was exactly as I could imagine my father would have wanted, the little touches that they made were so lovely and thoughtful.
Myself and my family would like to thank John and Julie but also to all the staff who were very courteous, friendly and professional.
It was a difficult day but went very smoothly thanks to Delanoys funeral services.

Another fantastic service of John Delanoy and Julie from Delanoy Funeral Services myself and 3 other family members been up to durham crematorium for a direct cremation of a uncle although it was only a direct cremation it's what the deceased wanted no fuss.John brought him up in the hearse other company's where just coming in cars or vans walked him into the crematorium put flowers and photo on the coffin at no extra cost and let us even sit with our uncle for couple of mins and played music absolutely fantastic service from them.x

After the incident on Wednesday, when John was injured whilst carrying out his duty, we wanted to reaffirm why we walk in front of the hearse.

Thank you to every driver in Easington today who showed us the utmost respect and held back to allow our cortege to pass safely. It truly meant a great deal to ourselves and the family.

Walking in front of the hearse is a long-standing tradition and a final act of care. It symbolises leading the deceased on their final journey and also lets other road users know a funeral procession is taking place.

We never experienced anything like Wednesday’s incident, and we hope we never do again. All we ask is for patience, awareness and respect when you see a funeral cortege.

During my wonderful dad's final journey, a driver overtook the hearse and funeral cars. It is a difficult and heartbreaking day enough as it is. This makes me so sad. Xx

What a day! 💜

There were laughs, struggles and plenty of tough moments, but above all, there was an amazing team. Together, we pushed through and did it.

21 miles completed and almost £3,651 raised so far for Pulmonary Fibrosis in memory of Les Kennedy, as we approach Father’s Day tomorrow.

Thank you so much to everyone who has donated and sponsored us, it is truly appreciated by Laura Kennedy, Christine and their family.

And a huge thank you to David Jackson, Julie A Clark, Leona Wray, and everyone who helped with pit stops, refreshments and support along the way.
