A very local and personable service at emotional time. Different options were shared which helped fill me with assurance. The actual time at the crematorium was as we discussed and the service was undertaken with passion and dignity.

Julie's video tribute to Ron was perfect. A touching tribute to him, which he'd have loved. Julie was so innovative and imaginative in producing something with unexpected touches throughout.
This was the first experience I have personally had with Delanoy's but my mother has family ties with the company going back generations, so we knew they were a long-established and well respected company.
They were very responsive. Prompt and accomodating of everything we wanted. Both of us would highly recommend their service to anyone.

From the day our Dad passed right up to the day we laid him to rest they went above and beyond in making the day perfect even with a few last minute touches and surprises for the family. My husband, Bill, said he wanted a no fuss, simple funeral and that is what Delanoy arranged for us. After the incident on Wednesday, when John was injured whilst carrying out his duty, we wanted to reaffirm why we walk in front of the hearse.

Thank you to every driver in Easington today who showed us the utmost respect and held back to allow our cortege to pass safely. It truly meant a great deal to ourselves and the family.

Walking in front of the hearse is a long-standing tradition and a final act of care. It symbolises leading the deceased on their final journey and also lets other road users know a funeral procession is taking place.

We never experienced anything like Wednesday’s incident, and we hope we never do again. All we ask is for patience, awareness and respect when you see a funeral cortege.
