The funeral cortège to the crematorium then the service. Special tributes, photograph display and the humanists eulogy of Adrian’s life.

I can’t find enough words to convey how appreciative we are for the arrangements Delanoy have made for Jim’s passing and funeral. They managed to turn what could have been a sad, mournful day, into a massive celebration of his life. There WERE tears, but the entire day was filled with love and happy memories, all carried out with exceptional organisation.
Losing a partner is very difficult and Jim’s passing WAS expected, and dreaded, but from walking into Delanoy’s office, on that Wednesday, talking to John and Julie, our heartache eased. We were given advice on how to deal with a death, who we needed to notify, etc.
Little did we know that we would be needing John and Julie again - at midnight that very same day. Again, they were there, guiding, listening, waiting, giving comfort to a grieving family. Every step of the process we were kept informed as to what to do, what to expect.
We can’t thank the Delanoy staff enough for the help given on that day and the following three weeks, culminating into a carefully planned, wonderful send off for Jim. You and your staff are to be commended. Everyone at the funeral service said what a joyous occasion you had arranged.

If you are looking for a funeral director that cares I most definitely wouldn’t look any further than Delanoy Funeral Services. From the minute they stepped through the door in the middle of the night I instantly knew we had made the right choice. The care and compassion that Julie and John showed to the whole family truly is amazing. We discussed what arrangements we would like, and they carried out every little detail we asked for, there was never a time when we were told no, we can’t do that. Due to the expertise of Julie and John our brother Mark got the most perfect service for us to all say our goodbyes. Julie was an absolute rock to our mam (Marilyn) when we couldn’t be there, and I can’t thank her enough for this (she is an absolute super star). My partner david got taken to Sunderland Royal hospital and passed away on the 20th July with cancer he hadn't had it very long but we all knew how bad he was getting the service john and julie gave for david was above and beyond the kindness they showed me and my family at the sad time the celebrant with her kind words also the roses gone on David's hearse.Hes now laid to rest and not in pain

From our first meeting with John and Julie at Delanoys they showed great compassion and provided us with different suggestions for Mams funeral. Julie created a brilliant tribute video to her favourite song that portrayed Mams life brilliantly. They drove pas Grampian Care home where Mam spent her latter years. Julie and John walked in front of the cars giving all of the wonderful staff the chance to say their final farewells. So many personal touches that made such a sad day so special and personal. Can’t thank them enough.

From the moment we engaged Delanoy Funeral Services the attention given to us as a family was not only professional but personal. Throughout the entire process John and Julie supported us beyond what we could have ever expected. There was no question too big or too small. Every detail was impeccable from the passing of Fred to laying him to rest. The personal touches given by John and Julie put us all at ease - they went above and beyond especially on the day of the funeral, making sure every element was perfect.
The effort in the background ensured that we had nothing to worry about as we could trust it was all being dealt with which took a lot of the worry away in what was a very difficult time for us as a family. When our Mam Margaret died 18 months ago, John looked after us and took care of all the arrangements. We recently lost our Dad Henry and again we turned to Delanoy’s Funeral Services because we knew we would receive a professional service. Due to Covid we knew things had to be done differently and both John and Julie gently steered us through every detail. Julie’s approach to making it a special celebration of Dad’s life really worked and she arranged for brass band members to play as Dad began his final journey – something he would have loved.
Everything was beautifully recorded for friends and family who could not be there due to restrictions. The whole process from start to finish was handled with genuine care and compassion from John and Julie and we thank them from the bottom of our hearts.
