This is a really difficult review to write and one I wish I didn't have to. Having lost our 20 year old son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend in unexpected and heartbreaking circumstances, we were completely unprepared and overwhelmed with the task of ensuring we could provide the very best send off he so rightly deserved.

John Delanoy stepped in and immediately understood what our requirements were. He worked closely with us and liased with other parties involved with the arrangements on our behalf. This helped reduce the burden we were facing at a time when empathy, patience and compassion were needed the most.

We cannot express our gratitude enough to John and his team. We have recently moved a family members pre-paid Golden Charter plan to Delanoy Funeral Services Ltd from another local provider. We have done this as we know that the care and level of compassion we received are unparalleled and unlikely to be matched.

To anyone who sadly finds themselves with planning a loved one's service, please don't hesitate to pick up the phone and give them a call. They are there for you and by your side from the very first second.

Knowing how much the club meant to her, on the day before her funeral, Delanoy took her on one last trip to the Stadium of Light and made a beautiful short video of the visit. This was entirely at the behest of John and Julie and was a wonderful and emotional surprise for the whole family. It meant so much to us all. Mam would have been so thrilled and delighted. I don’t think I’ve ever come across a more professional and understanding company. In such a stressful and emotional time these people took all of the anxiety out of this difficult situation for all of the family and give exactly what my father wanted in his funeral without question. Julie's video tribute to Ron was perfect. A touching tribute to him, which he'd have loved. Julie was so innovative and imaginative in producing something with unexpected touches throughout.
This was the first experience I have personally had with Delanoy's but my mother has family ties with the company going back generations, so we knew they were a long-established and well respected company.
They were very responsive. Prompt and accomodating of everything we wanted. Both of us would highly recommend their service to anyone.

Absolute first class service start to finish from both John and Julie and the rest of the team! Delanoys were so sensitive in organising our Mam’s funeral. Julie and John are easy to trust. At a time when it is hard to think clearly, they take away the worry and stress by stepping you through what needs to happen. They listened and responded with tasteful suggestions. They keep in touch and are very clear on what you do and don’t need to think about. In the end, we had the most wonderful day which celebrated Mam’s life with all the people who knew and loved her. At a sad time, you are very safe in their hands.

The entire process was brilliant, the finer details really separate Delanoy and other directors. It felt so incredibly personal and you could tell a great deal of care and attention went into every aspect of the funeral. From special touches with music that we have never seen before to an incredible tribute video, is it bad to say I look forward to them planning my funeral?
