John and Julie helped my family and I through the toughest time of our lives. From day 1 they were kind, caring, compassionate although very professional. We unexpectedly and very sadly lost my brother in May and the time he spent in the hands of Delanoy’s I know he was treated with respect and love, John went above and beyond for us as a family when visiting my brother with a little touch of spraying his aftershave in the viewing area which brought great comfort to me and my family. 3 years ago Delanoys provided their service for my mothers funeral and back then their service was excellent, both John and Julie provided a beautiful send off for her.
On the 14th November this year we said our goodbyes to my father and John and Julie were there to give a personal send off.
From the moment we set off it was exactly as I could imagine my father would have wanted, the little touches that they made were so lovely and thoughtful.
Myself and my family would like to thank John and Julie but also to all the staff who were very courteous, friendly and professional.
It was a difficult day but went very smoothly thanks to Delanoys funeral services.

My father recently died and Delanoys were our first choice for acting as our funeral partners. I use funeral partners rather than funeral directors because John and Julie involved the family at every step of the funeral planning. No detail was too small for them to step in and take care of, to provide the smoothest and most unobtrusive service we could possibly expect.

Delanoys don't take centre stage in the funeral, the family do; Delanoys make sure that everything is taken care of so that the family have nothing to worry about. Nothing is left to chance and the level of planning ensures the funeral is as smooth as possible, and their local knowledge and local contacts eases the pressure at an incredibly stressful time.

This morning, we said goodbye to Mark Jepson “Jeppa” a much loved and dedicated Sunderland supporter.

Mark sadly passed away just two months after losing his mother, and we felt it was only right to give him a memorable send-off that was personal to him and reflected the love so many had for him.

I am so sorry to hear this. Marilyn and I would occasionally text each other. She would keep me informed of the happenings in England. She always thought of other folks. Her last message to me ended with, "Take care pet." Just typical of her character. I am so very sad. RIP Marilyn you are an Easington Icon.
