My father recently died and Delanoys were our first choice for acting as our funeral partners. I use funeral partners rather than funeral directors because John and Julie involved the family at every step of the funeral planning. No detail was too small for them to step in and take care of, to provide the smoothest and most unobtrusive service we could possibly expect.

Delanoys don't take centre stage in the funeral, the family do; Delanoys make sure that everything is taken care of so that the family have nothing to worry about. Nothing is left to chance and the level of planning ensures the funeral is as smooth as possible, and their local knowledge and local contacts eases the pressure at an incredibly stressful time.

From the moment we engaged Delanoy Funeral Services the attention given to us as a family was not only professional but personal. Throughout the entire process John and Julie supported us beyond what we could have ever expected. There was no question too big or too small. Every detail was impeccable from the passing of Fred to laying him to rest. The personal touches given by John and Julie put us all at ease - they went above and beyond especially on the day of the funeral, making sure every element was perfect.
The effort in the background ensured that we had nothing to worry about as we could trust it was all being dealt with which took a lot of the worry away in what was a very difficult time for us as a family. The flowers were all just perfect, the order of service exactly as we requested and on the day of the funeral we could not have asked for anything more.

Natalie’s pink coffin was beautiful and just what we wanted for her and the pink ties worn by John and Julie were a lovely, unexpected addition. My partner david got taken to Sunderland Royal hospital and passed away on the 20th July with cancer he hadn't had it very long but we all knew how bad he was getting the service john and julie gave for david was above and beyond the kindness they showed me and my family at the sad time the celebrant with her kind words also the roses gone on David's hearse.Hes now laid to rest and not in pain

My father passed away on the 10th of April he had a pre paid funeral plan which made my life so much easier at a terrible time. John and Julie were absolutely amazing through out the whole process and did not falter. They rang me text me and visited through out the whole process. Their attention to detail was amazing. When you are in such a vulnerable place you need someone to rely on and trust. John and Julie were those people, I felt comforted and safe under their care. My dad would have been so grateful for their support as am I.

Delanoy Funeral Services provided truly exceptional care during such a difficult time for our family. From the very beginning, they were kind, patient, and incredibly compassionate, which made a world of difference to us.

They took the time to really listen and understand what we wanted, and it was clear that they genuinely cared about every detail. Seeing my mam in the chapel was both emotional and comforting — she looked absolutely beautiful, and her hair was done to perfection. That meant so much to us.

Delanoys were so sensitive in organising our Mam’s funeral. Julie and John are easy to trust. At a time when it is hard to think clearly, they take away the worry and stress by stepping you through what needs to happen. They listened and responded with tasteful suggestions. They keep in touch and are very clear on what you do and don’t need to think about. In the end, we had the most wonderful day which celebrated Mam’s life with all the people who knew and loved her.
