The support they have given myself and my partner since the passing of our good friend Derek Hartis is impeccable.
They made the service personal to whom Derek was as a person and about the life he lead, which is exactly what we wanted.
They got the songs we wanted and used all the photos we'd asked them to use and even took time out of their personal lives to come to our home and take videos and aerial shots of the house, which we are extremely grateful for.
Everyone commented after the service of how beautiful and personalised it was to Derek.

My husband, Bill, said he wanted a no fuss, simple funeral and that is what Delanoy arranged for us. My family cannot speak highly enough of the kind, caring and empathetic service Delanoy Funeral Services provided to us all following the death of our beloved mam. The service and support provided was faultless from the moment they were contacted until the day of the funeral. Julie and John at Delanoy knew that mam was a long-standing Sunderland AFC ticket holder who followed the club home and away. Knowing how much the club meant to her, on the day before her funeral, Delanoy took her on one last trip to the Stadium of Light and made a beautiful short video of the visit. This was entirely at the behest of John and Julie and was a wonderful and emotional surprise for the whole family. It meant so much to us all. Mam would have been so thrilled and delighted. 3 years ago Delanoys provided their service for my mothers funeral and back then their service was excellent, both John and Julie provided a beautiful send off for her.
On the 14th November this year we said our goodbyes to my father and John and Julie were there to give a personal send off.
From the moment we set off it was exactly as I could imagine my father would have wanted, the little touches that they made were so lovely and thoughtful.
Myself and my family would like to thank John and Julie but also to all the staff who were very courteous, friendly and professional.

Delenoy Funeral Service go above and beyond for families at the worst time. In the space of 8 months they have done my dads and my mums funeral. I cannot fault the service they provide, the little details they put in place to make it as special as possible and the friendliness of John and Julie.

My son sadly passed away 22 June this year after a long fight with cancer aged 2 years it was the most devastating time we have had to go through. When our Mam Margaret died 18 months ago, John looked after us and took care of all the arrangements. We recently lost our Dad Henry and again we turned to Delanoy’s Funeral Services because we knew we would receive a professional service. Due to Covid we knew things had to be done differently and both John and Julie gently steered us through every detail. Julie’s approach to making it a special celebration of Dad’s life really worked and she arranged for brass band members to play as Dad began his final journey – something he would have loved.
Everything was beautifully recorded for friends and family who could not be there due to restrictions. The whole process from start to finish was handled with genuine care and compassion from John and Julie and we thank them from the bottom of our hearts.
