My father recently died and Delanoys were our first choice for acting as our funeral partners. I use funeral partners rather than funeral directors because John and Julie involved the family at every step of the funeral planning. No detail was too small for them to step in and take care of, to provide the smoothest and most unobtrusive service we could possibly expect.

Delanoys don't take centre stage in the funeral, the family do; Delanoys make sure that everything is taken care of so that the family have nothing to worry about. On behalf of the family of the late Margaret Gillespie I would like to thank John, Julie and all their staff for the support they gave to us after the passing of our Aunty. Aunty Margaret died in North Tees Hospital and she was buried in Kilcar, Co. Donegal, Fire.
John and Julie organised and advised us on the funeral arrangements here with thoughtfulness and compassion.
We were kept informed of Aunty Margaret's repatriation throughout on her journey back to Ireland. For all of this we are truly grateful.

From our first meeting with John and Julie at Delanoys they showed great compassion and provided us with different suggestions for Mams funeral. Julie created a brilliant tribute video to her favourite song that portrayed Mams life brilliantly. They drove pas Grampian Care home where Mam spent her latter years. Julie and John walked in front of the cars giving all of the wonderful staff the chance to say their final farewells. So many personal touches that made such a sad day so special and personal. Can’t thank them enough.

From the moment we engaged Delanoy Funeral Services the attention given to us as a family was not only professional but personal. Throughout the entire process John and Julie supported us beyond what we could have ever expected. There was no question too big or too small. Every detail was impeccable from the passing of Fred to laying him to rest. The personal touches given by John and Julie put us all at ease - they went above and beyond especially on the day of the funeral, making sure every element was perfect.
The effort in the background ensured that we had nothing to worry about as we could trust it was all being dealt with which took a lot of the worry away in what was a very difficult time for us as a family. This is a really difficult review to write and one I wish I didn't have to. Having lost our 20 year old son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend in unexpected and heartbreaking circumstances, we were completely unprepared and overwhelmed with the task of ensuring we could provide the very best send off he so rightly deserved.

John Delanoy stepped in and immediately understood what our requirements were. He worked closely with us and liased with other parties involved with the arrangements on our behalf. This helped reduce the burden we were facing at a time when empathy, patience and compassion were needed the most.
