Your compassion and professionalism and the way that you made such a difficult time easier for us is without measure. Your compassion during our initial consultation was a great comfort to us and your thoughtful advice and unwavering guidance helped the family to navigate a very challenging period in our lives. You arranged mams funeral , creating a very meaningful and personal journey that truly honoured our wonderful mam , and for that we say thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

The loss of a loved one is extremely hard but it helps if you receive care and support at this time. In this regard, as a family, we were so grateful for the help of John and Julie. They guided us through the process and came up with useful suggestions on setting up the funeral arrangements. Everyone we spoke to afterwards were complimentary on the service, in particular, the video of a life well spent by dad (jack). Our thanks to John and Julie for making a difficult day bearable and providing our family with memories of dad which will never go away.

What can I say. Delanoy did my dad proud. We gave him the same as we gave our mam 18 months ago. Every detail was done to the tee with the most caring help and support at this terribly devastating time. John, Julie and the guys were professional and showed great empathy and go above and beyond. Both funerals captured the person and made us laugh and cry and celebrate their lives all at the same time.

Julie and John helped immensely with my dad’s funeral earlier this year. They were professional, patient, highly responsive, kind and generous with their time. I didn’t know what to expect or how to navigate a death in the family, but they made everything clear and arranged things with a minimum of fuss. My partner david got taken to Sunderland Royal hospital and passed away on the 20th July with cancer he hadn't had it very long but we all knew how bad he was getting the service john and julie gave for david was above and beyond the kindness they showed me and my family at the sad time the celebrant with her kind words also the roses gone on David's hearse.Hes now laid to rest and not in pain

Delanoy Funeral Service provided an absolute fantastic tribute to the life of my mam. I could not have asked for a better service John and Julie are such wonderful people and nothing is too much trouble. They organised everything for me from the flowers to the service books and they were outstanding! I have used this company for three of my family members now and I would never use anyone else. Another fantastic service of John Delanoy and Julie from Delanoy Funeral Services myself and 3 other family members been up to durham crematorium for a direct cremation of a uncle although it was only a direct cremation it's what the deceased wanted no fuss.John brought him up in the hearse other company's where just coming in cars or vans walked him into the crematorium put flowers and photo on the coffin at no extra cost and let us even sit with our uncle for couple of mins and played music absolutely fantastic service from them.x

My father passed away on the 10th of April he had a pre paid funeral plan which made my life so much easier at a terrible time. John and Julie were absolutely amazing through out the whole process and did not falter. They rang me text me and visited through out the whole process. Their attention to detail was amazing. When you are in such a vulnerable place you need someone to rely on and trust. John and Julie were those people, I felt comforted and safe under their care. My dad would have been so grateful for their support as am I.

Julie's video tribute to Ron was perfect. A touching tribute to him, which he'd have loved. Julie was so innovative and imaginative in producing something with unexpected touches throughout.
This was the first experience I have personally had with Delanoy's but my mother has family ties with the company going back generations, so we knew they were a long-established and well respected company.
They were very responsive. Prompt and accomodating of everything we wanted. Both of us would highly recommend their service to anyone.

My son sadly passed away 22 June this year after a long fight with cancer aged 2 years it was the most devastating time we have had to go through. I cannot thank Julie and john enough went above and beyond to help us through this difficult time they even got us a personalised coffin of his favourite character I cannot recommend them enough
