We would like on behalf of our family to Thank John and Julie at Delanoy funeral services for helping us to have a very beautiful, dignified send off for our daughter Evelyn Brown on the 27th of October.
We were given lots of help and advice from John in making all of the arrangements possible which were followed through on the day of our daughters funeral.

I can't thank and praise John and Julie enough for arranging and organising my husband's Mark's funeral. They were professional but personal and they took away any stress by explaining what was happening along the way. They attended to everything and nothing was too much trouble. They often went above and beyond to add in extra special touches such as turning up to record our balloon release to include in the tribute video. Our family will be forever grateful and would highly recommend their services to anyone!!

We all know that death is inevitable but when it happens to one of our loved ones our world falls apart, our hearts break and we are left feeling devastated and lost. Julie and John at Delanoy funeral services were there for us at this most terrifying time to help us with our loss and sort out the funeral of our dad with love, care and empathy. Julie and John treated our dad like one of their own family and we could not have put our trust in any one better. They looked after my dad and saw that he was treated in death, with the respect that he deserved. They nurtured my bereaved mum and our family with kindness, patience and the utmost professionalism. They took time to explain procedures and gave us options in how we wanted to celebrate the life of our dad and honour his memory. Everything was taken care of and we knew what to expect at all times. Julie and John went over and above to ensure that dad’s service was a testimonial to the life he lived and even organised a bespoke floral tribute to reflect his love of gardening. Although our hearts were breaking, Julie and John were there to kindly support us through this difficult time and ensure that our final goodbye to him was perfect. Thank you from the bottom of my broken heart Julie and John, our family will never forget the love and support you showed us when we didn’t know where to turn.

If you are looking for a funeral director that cares I most definitely wouldn’t look any further than Delanoy Funeral Services. From the minute they stepped through the door in the middle of the night I instantly knew we had made the right choice. The care and compassion that Julie and John showed to the whole family truly is amazing. We discussed what arrangements we would like, and they carried out every little detail we asked for, there was never a time when we were told no, we can’t do that. Due to the expertise of Julie and John our brother Mark got the most perfect service for us to all say our goodbyes. They took the time to really listen and understand what we wanted, and it was clear that they genuinely cared about every detail. Seeing my mam in the chapel was both emotional and comforting — she looked absolutely beautiful, and her hair was done to perfection. That meant so much to us.

When I was a little boy in Peterlee our neighbours round the corner was I think Jackie Horner but after 70 years thats probably wrong but I know he worked at the pit and his wife was a window dresser in a shop in Hartlepool,could it be Joe's parents?Any upset I may cause I do apologise.

So sorry to be reading this. A lady Sew it All had the pleasure of doing clothing alterations for and often in my thoughts. A very inspirational lady always had words of wisdom and wonderful stories to tell, never failed to have a laugh with Dorothy. Wake up on a morning and say "right, ive not lived this day before let's see what its got in store " god bless you dorothy 🙏 Deepest condolences to the the family.
