The loss of a loved one is extremely hard but it helps if you receive care and support at this time. In this regard, as a family, we were so grateful for the help of John and Julie. They guided us through the process and came up with useful suggestions on setting up the funeral arrangements. Everyone we spoke to afterwards were complimentary on the service, in particular, the video of a life well spent by dad (jack). My father recently died and Delanoys were our first choice for acting as our funeral partners. I use funeral partners rather than funeral directors because John and Julie involved the family at every step of the funeral planning. No detail was too small for them to step in and take care of, to provide the smoothest and most unobtrusive service we could possibly expect.

This is a really difficult review to write and one I wish I didn't have to. Having lost our 20 year old son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend in unexpected and heartbreaking circumstances, we were completely unprepared and overwhelmed with the task of ensuring we could provide the very best send off he so rightly deserved.

John Delanoy stepped in and immediately understood what our requirements were. He worked closely with us and liased with other parties involved with the arrangements on our behalf. This helped reduce the burden we were facing at a time when empathy, patience and compassion were needed the most.

We cannot express our gratitude enough to John and his team. We have recently moved a family members pre-paid Golden Charter plan to Delanoy Funeral Services Ltd from another local provider. My father passed away on the 10th of April he had a pre paid funeral plan which made my life so much easier at a terrible time. John and Julie were absolutely amazing through out the whole process and did not falter. They rang me text me and visited through out the whole process. Their attention to detail was amazing. When you are in such a vulnerable place you need someone to rely on and trust. John and Julie were those people, I felt comforted and safe under their care. My dad would have been so grateful for their support as am I.

Natalie’s pink coffin was beautiful and just what we wanted for her and the pink ties worn by John and Julie were a lovely, unexpected addition. My husband, Bill, said he wanted a no fuss, simple funeral and that is what Delanoy arranged for us. Julie created a brilliant tribute video to her favourite song that portrayed Mams life brilliantly. They drove pas Grampian Care home where Mam spent her latter years. Julie and John walked in front of the cars giving all of the wonderful staff the chance to say their final farewells. So many personal touches that made such a sad day so special and personal.
