Just want to say a massive Thank You to Julie and John of Delanoy Funeral Services for the professional, sympathetic and caring manner in which they conducted the funeral of my beautiful late wife Janice yesterday. Julie went above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly and stress free. Speaking on behalf of all my family aswell as myself from the moment I called Julie to let her know that my mother had sadly passed away after a very short illness that shocked us all I knew I was dealing with a very caring and compassionate lady.
Our minds were definitely put at ease as I’ve never had to deal with anything like this before.
Both John & Julie kept us informed letting us know every step of the way from collecting my mother from the hospital and preparing her for us to visit her in the chapel of rest and She looked absolutely amazing.
The floral tributes we chose were absolutely beautiful and Julie gave us various options to choose from and excellent advice on what to go for and what not to go for.
On the day of the funeral the cars all turned up and we’re absolutely gleaming and john & Julie came over shook our hands and gave us some lovely calming words and loving smiles which made us feel comfortable knowing that we were celebrating the life of mam.

Arranging a funeral from the other side of the county was as daunting task. John and Julie handled everything from transportation to suggestions on the wake. Delanoys were so sensitive in organising our Mam’s funeral. Julie and John are easy to trust. At a time when it is hard to think clearly, they take away the worry and stress by stepping you through what needs to happen. They listened and responded with tasteful suggestions. They keep in touch and are very clear on what you do and don’t need to think about. In the end, we had the most wonderful day which celebrated Mam’s life with all the people who knew and loved her. At a sad time, you are very safe in their hands.

I’ve been meaning to leave this review for a long time but like everything life got in the way. Even though it was over a year ago now we have not forgotten how kindly we were treated. We cannot thank John and Delanoys enough for the compassion, care and guidance he gave us as a family when my Dad suddenly passed away. Especially as it happened while on holiday in Blackpool. With the added worry of getting his body home and the red tape involved, John guided us through the process. He was on hand to answer questions and it was the personal touches that made his service exceptional. He went above and beyond.

I would highly recommend Delanoy funeral services, Julie, John and the team went above and beyond for my mams funeral the detail and the extent they go to is amazing. Nothing was a problem and always happy to answer calls and texts when we needed them.
Our tribute video and street footage are amazing keepsakes and detail again was just something else not forgetting Julie and John travelling to my mams favourite place in the Lakes to make our video that extra special.
All the children where made to feel at ease throughout.

I cannot speak highly enough of the care and support we received from Delanoy Funeral Services following the death of my mum.
From the very beginning, they were exceptional in every way. Their communication was brilliant, and at a time when everything can feel completely overwhelming, they calmly and compassionately guided us through the entire process. Everything was clearly explained, including the different options available for the coffin, flowers, burial plot and refreshments afterwards. Nothing ever felt rushed or impersonal, and we always felt that we could ask questions or seek advice.
What touched me most, however, was the genuine care, dignity and respect with which they treated my mum. They helped me to visit her in the Chapel of Rest and made what was an incredibly difficult and emotional experience as gentle as it possibly could be. They also arranged for me to have some clippings of Mum’s hair as a keepsake—something very small perhaps, but something that means an enormous amount to me and that I will treasure for the rest of my life.
The care taken with Mum’s appearance was also incredibly moving. Her hair and make-up had been done beautifully and sensitively, and she looked peaceful and cared for. Seeing her treated with such tenderness, dignity and respect brought me a great deal of comfort.
Throughout the whole process, and on the day of Mum’s funeral itself on 15th September, we were treated with nothing but kindness, empathy, professionalism and genuine compassion. At what has undoubtedly been the most difficult period of my life, knowing that my mum was being looked after by people who genuinely cared made an enormous difference.
There are some professions where simply doing the job well is not enough; it is the humanity, compassion and kindness shown alongside it that people remember. I will always remember the way Mum and our family were treated.
I am deeply grateful for everything they did for us and would recommend them without hesitation to any family needing someone they can trust to care for their loved one with dignity, respect and genuine compassion.
