John and Julie and their team were exceptional from first contact through to the final funeral day. I would not hesitate to recommend their services to anyone. The service they provided was professional and efficient and always personal and caring. Their care and compassion was a great support to us.They guided us step by step through a stressful experience, nothing was too much trouble and they helped us to carry out the last wishes of a much loved mother. They ensured that everything ran smoothly and every detail was taken care of. Their sensitive and respectful approach gave us absolute confidence to entrust them with the care of our loved one. Our visit to the Chapel of Rest was hugely comforting to the family and enabled us to say our last goodbyes in a tranquil and dignified setting. Thank you.

Julie's video tribute to Ron was perfect. A touching tribute to him, which he'd have loved. Julie was so innovative and imaginative in producing something with unexpected touches throughout.
This was the first experience I have personally had with Delanoy's but my mother has family ties with the company going back generations, so we knew they were a long-established and well respected company.

Another fantastic service of John Delanoy and Julie from Delanoy Funeral Services myself and 3 other family members been up to durham crematorium for a direct cremation of a uncle although it was only a direct cremation it's what the deceased wanted no fuss.John brought him up in the hearse other company's where just coming in cars or vans walked him into the crematorium put flowers and photo on the coffin at no extra cost and let us even sit with our uncle for couple of mins and played music absolutely fantastic service from them.x

The loss of a loved one is extremely hard but it helps if you receive care and support at this time. In this regard, as a family, we were so grateful for the help of John and Julie. They guided us through the process and came up with useful suggestions on setting up the funeral arrangements. Everyone we spoke to afterwards were complimentary on the service, in particular, the video of a life well spent by dad (jack). Our thanks to John and Julie for making a difficult day bearable and providing our family with memories of dad which will never go away.

We unexpectedly and very sadly lost my brother in May and the time he spent in the hands of Delanoy’s I know he was treated with respect and love, John went above and beyond for us as a family when visiting my brother with a little touch of spraying his aftershave in the viewing area which brought great comfort to me and my family. I can’t find enough words to convey how appreciative we are for the arrangements Delanoy have made for Jim’s passing and funeral. They managed to turn what could have been a sad, mournful day, into a massive celebration of his life. There WERE tears, but the entire day was filled with love and happy memories, all carried out with exceptional organisation.
Losing a partner is very difficult and Jim’s passing WAS expected, and dreaded, but from walking into Delanoy’s office, on that Wednesday, talking to John and Julie, our heartache eased. We were given advice on how to deal with a death, who we needed to notify, etc.
Little did we know that we would be needing John and Julie again - at midnight that very same day. Again, they were there, guiding, listening, waiting, giving comfort to a grieving family. Every step of the process we were kept informed as to what to do, what to expect.
We can’t thank the Delanoy staff enough for the help given on that day and the following three weeks, culminating into a carefully planned, wonderful send off for Jim. You and your staff are to be commended. Everyone at the funeral service said what a joyous occasion you had arranged.

Arranging a funeral from the other side of the county was as daunting task. John and Julie handled everything from transportation to suggestions on the wake. Delanoys were so sensitive in organising our Mam’s funeral. Julie and John are easy to trust.
