Delanoys were so sensitive in organising our Mam’s funeral. Julie and John are easy to trust. At a time when it is hard to think clearly, they take away the worry and stress by stepping you through what needs to happen. They listened and responded with tasteful suggestions. They keep in touch and are very clear on what you do and don’t need to think about. In the end, we had the most wonderful day which celebrated Mam’s life with all the people who knew and loved her. We lost our little girl at 7 days old. John & Julie couldn’t help us enough. They were amazing, I honestly can’t recommend them enough. Everything I asked for just wasn’t an issue at all. Even little things such as she had a tonies box playing in the RVI & they made sure it was always on for her off there own backs we didn’t even have to ask. I wanted it all videoing & aimed towards her big brother so that he could watch it when he was older & so he felt included in it all & they did everything we asked & more. Everything was absolutely perfect. They went above and beyond to make sure our family & Saige-Ann were looked after. The room is absolutely beautiful & they took such good care of her.

Speaking on behalf of all my family aswell as myself from the moment I called Julie to let her know that my mother had sadly passed away after a very short illness that shocked us all I knew I was dealing with a very caring and compassionate lady.
Our minds were definitely put at ease as I’ve never had to deal with anything like this before.
Both John & Julie kept us informed letting us know every step of the way from collecting my mother from the hospital and preparing her for us to visit her in the chapel of rest and She looked absolutely amazing.
The floral tributes we chose were absolutely beautiful and Julie gave us various options to choose from and excellent advice on what to go for and what not to go for.
On the day of the funeral the cars all turned up and we’re absolutely gleaming and john & Julie came over shook our hands and gave us some lovely calming words and loving smiles which made us feel comfortable knowing that we were celebrating the life of mam.

The service and support provided was faultless from the moment they were contacted until the day of the funeral. Julie and John at Delanoy knew that mam was a long-standing Sunderland AFC ticket holder who followed the club home and away. Knowing how much the club meant to her, on the day before her funeral, Delanoy took her on one last trip to the Stadium of Light and made a beautiful short video of the visit. This was entirely at the behest of John and Julie and was a wonderful and emotional surprise for the whole family. It meant so much to us all. Mam would have been so thrilled and delighted. Another fantastic service of John Delanoy and Julie from Delanoy Funeral Services myself and 3 other family members been up to durham crematorium for a direct cremation of a uncle although it was only a direct cremation it's what the deceased wanted no fuss.John brought him up in the hearse other company's where just coming in cars or vans walked him into the crematorium put flowers and photo on the coffin at no extra cost and let us even sit with our uncle for couple of mins and played music absolutely fantastic service from them.x

From the moment I informed John and Julie of Emma’s death they came into our lives and showed us how wonderful caring and compassionate they were. Nothing was too much trouble no question went unanswered no matter what time of the day and night and no matter where they were even when I interrupted their free time. The Ideas and details they put forward to us were to make this a celebration of her life and were carried out to the letter. This made it the most perfect send off anyone could ask for. The work that Julie put into the video and the extra touches will stay with us forever and no request was to big or small. John was the strong calm influence who smiled at me through my anxious outbursts and sometimes requests which were not sensible or practical. The arms of both of these people encircled our family the whole time and they gave us strength to face each day and never to feel alone. All of this we never envisaged and there are no words or deeds than can ever really be enough thanks.
