On behalf of the family of the late Margaret Gillespie I would like to thank John, Julie and all their staff for the support they gave to us after the passing of our Aunty. Aunty Margaret died in North Tees Hospital and she was buried in Kilcar, Co. Donegal, Fire.
John and Julie organised and advised us on the funeral arrangements here with thoughtfulness and compassion.
We were kept informed of Aunty Margaret's repatriation throughout on her journey back to Ireland. For all of this we are truly grateful.

At a time when it is hard to think clearly, they take away the worry and stress by stepping you through what needs to happen. They listened and responded with tasteful suggestions. They went above and beyond and made us feel like they genuinely cared for us. They were always just a text away to answer the miriad of questions we had and to include extra things to the service. Adding little touches like all wearing hartlepool united ties and many others, that we loved so much. The tribute video that julie made was brilliant and made sure my dad got the send off he deserved. They made our worst day as lovely as possible and we as a family will never forget it. From the day our Dad passed right up to the day we laid him to rest they went above and beyond in making the day perfect even with a few last minute touches and surprises for the family. They took the time to really listen and understand what we wanted, and it was clear that they genuinely cared about every detail. Seeing my mam in the chapel was both emotional and comforting — she looked absolutely beautiful, and her hair was done to perfection. That meant so much to us.

My husband, Bill, said he wanted a no fuss, simple funeral and that is what Delanoy arranged for us. My daughter and I have nothing but praise for the professionalism, caring and compassion shown to us by Julie and John. They were like friends we had known for a long time and nothing was a trouble. What a day! 💜

There were laughs, struggles and plenty of tough moments, but above all, there was an amazing team. Together, we pushed through and did it.

21 miles completed and almost £3,651 raised so far for Pulmonary Fibrosis in memory of Les Kennedy, as we approach Father’s Day tomorrow.

Thank you so much to everyone who has donated and sponsored us, it is truly appreciated by Laura Kennedy, Christine and their family.
