Delanoy Funeral Services – Terms and Conditions
This page provides a brief summary of our Terms of Business. A full copy of our Terms is available on request and forms the legally binding agreement between us.
1. Costs and Payments
-
You will get a written estimate listing all charges and extra services.
-
Full payment is required 7 days prior of the funeral. Unless agreed beforehand by a director of Delanoy Funeral Services Ltd.
If a solicitor is paying the invoice from an estate, we must have a letter confirming that funds are available to cover the full cost of the funeral.
-
Unattended funerals: full payment upfront required prior to the date being agreed.
-
Final invoices: to be paid within 7 days of issue. Late fees and interest apply.
-
If claiming Government help (e.g., DWP), only part may be covered; you are responsible for the rest this which must be paid in advance.
If you intend to claim financial assistance for funeral expenses from Governmental schemes (e.g., DWP), please inform us at the
earliest opportunity.
Please be aware:
• These schemes typically offer only a contribution towards funeral costs, and may not cover the full amount.
• Any remaining balance will be your responsibility.
• The eligibility rules are complex; we encourage you to consult with your Funeral Arranger for guidance.
In the event that a claim is unsuccessful, payment of the full funeral account will remain your responsibility.
Payments from the Deceased’s Estate
Please note; that there is no need to wait for probate/confirmation before arranging payment. If sufficient funds are available,
settlement can usually be made directly from the deceased person’s bank account without delay.
We reserve the right to cancel the funeral if the payment has not been made by the required date.
