With a family name in the funeral industry going back over 120 years in the area.  John Delanoy and Julie Stout from Just Out Marketing decided to form a new concept in funeral services launching together as Delanoy Funeral Services. Initally, it was to help people who had lost loved ones give them a better send off during the Coronavirus out break, however people loved the new unique concept and company. Julie looked at more ways rather than just the inital filming of funerals to give people that more personal send off with her years of experience in the creative industry.  In August 2020 they opened up their 3rd branch in Julie’s home town of Peterlee.

Since opening at Peterlee everything so far has been re invested into the business. Enabling the duo to buy a new Jaguar hearse and limousine and more recently a new private ambulance. Their priority is families first and they want the best for the people of Peterlee, Easington and surrounding areas, hence to date neither of them have taken any money out of the business.

Through word of mouth they have carried out funerals in Durham, Washington, Seaham, Penshaw, Chester-le-Street and other areas in addition to Peterlee, Easington and the other surrounding villages.

My husband, Bill, said he wanted a no fuss, simple funeral and that is what Delanoy arranged for us. My daughter and I have nothing but praise for the professionalism, caring and compassion shown to us by Julie and John. They were like friends we had known for a long time and nothing was a trouble. The funeral was a simple but beautiful closure to his life. My daughter and I can only compliment and recommend them, and their staff, for their support and organisation at such a sad time.
